I appreciate your sentiment, although I must be careful what I say about this situation currently. I do know that the current tension is very significant. In Asian cultures, the idea of face is very important. South Korea demanding an apology from the North sends the two sides closer to war than any UN resolution would. Please understand, I am not commenting on the validity of the demand, just the outcome. By the South demanding an apology, that gives the North two choices. They can eat crow and apologize--not likely, or they can refuse. If they refuse, then the South faces open disrespect, a situation that the South won't likely take casually. Any war in that region won't be good for anyone.

I don't understand for what Kim Jung Il is always stirring up trouble. I guess he is a loose cannon (both figuratively and literally!). Any mentally stable leader would appreciate that it is bad to be on the edge of war without any real reason.

Absolute brilliance. You definitely deserve to win this one. I would enter the contest, but you make several good points (such as #3 and #91) that I just couldn't compete with. Good luck!

Send Ryan! He's THE person that should be chosen... He'd really appreciate it more than anyone else. He's always wanted to go... seriously.

Also, Ryan never wins anything....

Would you want him to be sent to counseling for the rest of his life if you didn't make his dream come true? (guilt trip!)

Choose Ryan!
